Zohar
El Zohar (En idioma hebreo זהר Zohar "esplendor") es el libro central de la corriente cabalística o kabalística. Está comprendido por exégesis (Midrashim) bíblicos, organizados según la porción semanal de lectura de la Torá (las parshiot). El Zohar está dividido en tres cuerpos centrales: el Zohar original, los Senderos de la Torá (Sitrei Torá) y el Comentario Desaparecido (haMidrash haNe’elam), y Re’ia Mehimana y “Arreglos” (Tikunim). El Zohar, o segundo trabajo explicativo de la Cábala, ha sido llamado con justicia la "Biblia" de los cabalistas. Fue escrito en arameo por Moisés de León, un místico judío que vivió en España en el siglo XIII. Su porción principal adopta la forma de un comentario sobre el Pentateuco de acuerdo a su división más moderna en cincuenta y dos lecciones semanales. Su título Zohar (luz, resplandor) proviene de las palabras del Génesis 1:3 ("Que haya luz") con las cuales comienza. Es un trabajo compilatorio, para el cual todavía podrían ser hallados algunos fragmentos provenientes de tratados antiguos. La obra se divide en varios tratados y analiza los textos bíblicos para extraer de ellos su significado oculto. El universo se reparte entre los imperios de la luz y de las tinieblas, cada uno de ellos compuesto por diez esferas.
